Our Core Goals

Our major goals include serving the local Sudanese American community in Rochester and Southeastern MN US. It also supports our members and community and creates deeper social ties through cultural, entertainment, sporting, and social events.
It introduces Sudanese culture to others, reflects its bright image, and strengthens ties among members and with associations and other communities.
To further serve our community, we are planning to build headquarters for our association in Rochester, MN. It will contain offices, classes and two medium sized halls for social activities.
The projected cost is one million us dollars. Our community is growing and in needs of educational, and cultural services. Serving youth is one our priorities providing opportunities including mentoring, educational and counselling to join college and further excel in the careers.
Visiting speakers from community and outside to teach the youth different skills, including development of coping strategies for stress management and enhancement of their overall being.
Our services will be extended to all age groups in our community. Establishment of clear communication channels to help disseminate useful information among us. Educate our community about entrepreneurship, and housing. Engage the whole community in SAASEM’s activity and service as a continuous education to prepare future leaders.
